8 out of 12 Teams Place in Top 4
The 2006 Coast Soccer league has concluded and Apex Soccer Club has compiled a .532 win to loss ratio with 71 wins, 61 losses and 23 ties on the season. The club has enjoyed great success this year with the dedication of all its players, families, and coaching staff.
8 out of our 12 teams place in the Top 4 spots this league season. All 8 of these teams have the opportunity to move up to the next bracket up if they continue to have success through State and National Cup events. We would like to congratulate all the Apex teams for making this season great and recognize the below teams for making it to the top spots this season.

Girls U11 League Champions
The Apex U11 Girls team tied for 1st place in the Bronze Alpha Bracket with a record of 8 wins, 1 loss and 3 ties on the season. The team compiled 25 goals for and had 5 shut outs on the season. Apex beat and tied the team they tied with for the top spot.
The Apex Girls U11 team will be moving to the silver bracket for the next league season and they will compete in tournaments to prepare for State Cup in February. This is a team to watch as they are looking to continue their success in the next few months leading up to State Cup.

3 New Teams Moving to Silver Bracket
3 out of 4 new Apex teams have taken the top spots in league this year and have earned spots in the Silver bracket next league season.
The Boys U15 White team took 2nd place in the Bronze Alpha Bracket with a record of 9 wins, 2 losses and 1 tie on the season. The team compiled 44 goals for and had 3 shut outs on the season.
The Boys U12 team took 2nd place in the Bronze Alpha Bracket with a record of 9 wins, 3 losses and 2 ties. The team was only 1 point away from the top spot in league. They compiled 30 goals for and had 4 shut outs on the year.
The Girls U11 team tied for 1st place in the Bonze Alpha Bracket with a record of 8 wins, 1 loss and 3 ties. Apex beat and tied the team they tied with for the top spot. The team compiled 25 goals for and had 5 shut outs on the season.
The Apex Boys U12 and Girls U11 teams will continue to play in tournaments over the next few months to prepare for State Cup in February. The Boy U15 team will continue at the conclusion of the High School season and will prepare for State Cup at the end of March.
Congratulations to all of these new teams for all their hard work and success this season.

Galaxy Players Visit Apex SC
Galaxy Player appearance a huge success! LA Galaxy Players Michael Enfield and Ugo Ihemelu put on a clinic for the Apex club players. They instructed the players on different soccer skills and played small sided games where each of the Galaxy players instructed and played on the field with the Apex players. After the session they took time to sign autographs and take pictures with the players and families that attended the event. The club is going to attend the Galaxy Game this weekend to show our support and appreciation for the Galaxy players that came out and the Galaxy organization. Thank you to all that made this a great event!

Girls U18 International Champion
Apex Girls 88 U18 won the Plate Division of the Umbro International Cup 2006 in Manchester, England facing teams from Norway, Switzerland, New Jersey and England (including the Manchester City Ladies' Academy team). The girls lost only once in seven games to get to the final, where they beat Rochdale FC Ladies' Academy team on penalty kicks after a goalless draw in regulation.

Boys U12 International Tour
Apex Boys ’94 U12 team traveled to Castle Donington, Leicestershire, England posting a record of 3 wins and 1 tie in friendly matches. They then took runner up in a six aside tournament at Spital Park, organized by the Castle Donington Juniors with their only loss of the trip coming in the final game after a 2-2 draw in regulation play and a well fought session of penalty kicks to decide the winner. GU16 Labor Day Champions!!!
Apex Girls '90 U16 Renegades capture championship in Eclipse Labor Day Tournament U16 White group. They beat Simi Valley Eclipse 2-0 in the semi final round to make it to the finals and edged the OYSA Waves 1-0 to take the top spot in the U16 White group out of 6 teams.

Girls U16 Tie for First Place in Santa Barbara
Apex Girls '90 U16 Renegades tied for first place in the Santa Barbara Tournament Emerald Group. They were awarded second place only due to a tie breaker rule which was least goals scored against a team.

Girls U16 Finalists in Santa Barbara
Apex Girls '90 U16 Chaos were Finalists in the Santa Barbara Tournament Diamond Group. The Chaos beat Real California in a 1-0 semi-final match to make it to the finals against Crescenta Valley.

FREE Clinic Open to Public - Jan. 6th
Apex Soccer Club is putting on its first free clinic of 2007. Every year Apex puts on a number of free clinics to give back to the community by sharing their love of the game and soccer knowledge with the younger age groups.
